Our little man is starting to show some signs of growth! He has started sucking on a pacifier (while eating! Yay!), is gaining weight, has picked up his head on his own, and has continued to win the hearts of his nurses. He's still off the caffeine, but had a spell of Apnea/Bradycardia (a lapse in breathing and when his heart stops for a few seconds) last night that may put him back on the caffeine. It's a "normal" (however unwanted) experience with preemies, so it was something the nurses warned us to expect. Hopefully it will be a one-time deal, but we'll see. It's really just a waiting game now -- for him to put on some steady weight and progress towards taking his feedings from a nipple regularly. He's at 33 weeks now, and will ::hopefully:: get to go home around 35 weeks.
Korey and I want to thank our extended families for all of their amazing support over the last few weeks. Between meals, miles, and simple words of encouragement we have been able to see our little boy everyday since I was released from the hospital. We are truly blessed and are so thankful for all of the love and support from our TN, GA (:o)), NY, and VA families. :o)
