Part 1: Korey's Dad's Family in Georgia!
After a fantastic PJ Day at Lucas' school, we loaded the car and headed down to Georgia to celebrate Christmas with part of Korey's family. We spent the night with Korey's Dad and Step-mom. They have two little boys who kept Lucas BUSY. We loved it. He loved it. They loved it. It was a great time all-around. It feels great to live so close to family so that Lucas doesn't spend 7-8 hours traveling to someone's house. They even got to help make breakfast this morning... Lucas LOVES to cook and was in 7th heaven!
We also go to see Sara & Addy (with Aunt Shooshoo And Uncle Ray, of course), which was also a blast. 5 kids, one roof... let's just say we did not celebrate quietly. :o) The joyful noises of kiddos squealing/screaming/laughing was wonderful indeed. Aunt Shannon helped the older kids make home-made ice cream, which was a delicious treat! Yum!
We'll spend Christmas day at home (Santa comes to OUR house this year! Whoo hoo!). Then we'll travel to Korey's sister's house for Christmas lunch/dinner - and then head down to Chatt-town for the day-after-Christmas celebration with the rest of Korey's family. Though I am certainly missing holidays in New York, I'm very excited to watch my little boy open his gifts on Christmas day. Hopefully he makes it to our bedroom to wake us up before tearing into the treasures Santa has brought him... Here's hoping!
Is that your tree?! It's gorgeous! Merry Christmas Kemper Family!
